So I guess LoudTwitter hasn't been working for me after all.

And now FeedProxy, the successor to LiveJournal-to-Google-Reader, which was letting me read the LJs of those of you who make Friends-Only posts, but via Google Reader, has stopped working.

Looks like this is finally goodbye to LJ, since I'm not posting to or reading from LJ directly, and my redirections have broken. So I'll no longer be posting to or reading from LJ at all from now on.

Nice knowing you all, and please let me know your handles on other services if you come out the other side of the Great Personal Blogging Fad of 2002-2007.

So it turns out LoudTwitter, which was posting a daily digest of my tweets to LJ, has been down for a month, and I only just noticed it. Huh.

Well, that's pretty much the nail in the coffin for LJ for me. It's not like I've been using it for ages anyway. i read all my blogs and feeds on Google Reader, which works very well, and the Livejournal-to-Google-Reader thingy solves the age-old problem of how to read friends-only LJ entries. And my actual content generation moved to Twitter ages ago. Feel free to follow me: @dalziel_86

I guess this is goodbye to LJ for me at last. I strongly recommend moving on, for those who haven't already.
